Description
Agave lophantha (Agavaceae). Thorn-crested Agave, Big Lechuguilla. It is native to Texas just in the Rio Grande Plains in South Texas, where it grows on gravelly limestone and on cliffs and rocky outcrops. Its leaves are bright green and the flowers are a light gray-green to yellow. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer. Locality : Ex Hort. Date of harvest : May 2013
