Description
Aloe asperifolia (aloaceae) The leaves of this Aloe have a rough texture when touched. They are of a vivid grey-green color, rather wide at the base, displaying a yellowish fringe and rich yellow, later brownish spines. The inflorescence grows sidewards until it almost reaches a lying position. The flowers are reddish to rose-coloured. It grows in the very arid regions of Namibia so in cultivation it needs very little water. Date of harvest : March 2010. Locality : Swakopmund. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium
