Description
Aristolochia elegans (Aristolochiaceae) Perennial climber to 3 m high on supporting vegetation. Leaves alternate, broadly triangular to heart-shaped. The flowers are solitary, arising from leaf axils, hanging on stalk to 7 cm long; petal-like calyx curved yellowgreen, lipped and enlarged at the end, mottled purple and brown on the inside, to 7.5 cm long and about 10 cm wide. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer. Harvest : October 2011. Locality : Ex Hort.
