Description
Begonia hydrocotylifolia (Begoniaceae) Native to Mexico. It grows from a creeping rhizome. The foliage is very attractive, featuring small, unincised leaves. The many flowers are pink, blooming winter and spring. This plant enjoys filtered light but can take some sun in winter. Sowing : Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark. The trays should be kept moist in a warm but shaded position. Locality : Ex Hort. Harvest : December 2019
