Description
Buddleja dysophylla (Loganiaceae) Straggling or scrambling shrub. Leaf-blade with few star-shaped hairs on upper surface, much lighter, more densely and persistently rusty-hairy below, very variable in size, up to 10 cm long x 7 cm wide, broadest about middle, veins conspicuous beneath, stalk up to 3 cm long. Inflorescence large, much-branched with innumerable scented flowers. Calyx rusty, c 2 mm long, lobed almost to base; corolla whitish, lobes c 3 mm long, tube c 2 mm long; stamens protruding. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium. Locality : Grahamstown. Date of harvest : October 2019
