Description
Cyrtanthus elatus RED BULB (Amaryllidaceae). This is one of the most striking members of the genus and now grown world-wide for its cut flowers. The beautiful funnel-shaped scarlet flowers bloom in summer on tall leafless stalks. The strap-shaped leaves grow near the base of the stalk.
