Description
Cyrtanthus mackenii orange/red (Amaryllidaceae) The flowers of Cyrtanthus mackenii are long and narrow with recurved tips, and the leaves are narrowly lance-shaped. Adult plants reach about 400 mm high in full flower, and the individual flowers measure up to 50 mm long. Sowing : Sow seeds in springtime in a well-draining medium. Spread seeds thinly to prevent damping-off. Cover with a thin layer of river sand. Keep moist. Seed will germinate in about 2 weeks after sowing. Locality : Ex Hort. Harvest : October 2020
