Description
Drosanthemum speciosum (Mesembryanthemaceae). Worcester-Robertson vygie, Red ice-plant, Berg vygie. It is native to South Africa where it grows in the Western Cape that receives winter rain. It prefers the dry arid regions. This low growing succulent shrublet can reach 20cm and makes a fantastic color display when the orange/red flowers are in full bloom. Sowing : Sow seeds in autumn. Locality : Montagu. Harvest: May 2020
