Description
Elegia elephantinum. It is a dense, tufted, clump-forming, evergreen restio with mid- to dark green, reed-like stems and spikelets of brown flowers in late spring or summer. Sowing : Before sowing, the seed should be treated with smoke or soaked in a smoke-water solution. The seed should be sown during early autumn, when the nights are cool, between 10°C and 15°C, and the days are still warm, between 20°C and 30°C. After about three weeks the seed germinates and after another six to nine weeks can be pricked out. Locality: Ex Hort. Harvest: December 2020
