Description
Freesia fergusoniae (Iridaceae). It grows in the winter rainfall areas of South Africa. The flowers come in a horizontal or drooping spike, are yellow with orange markings and sweetly scented. Sowing : Sow seeds in autumn. Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25°C. Cover with peat or sand. Locality: Bredasdorp. Harvest : January 2023
