Description
Gladiolus carinatus pale blue grey. (Iridaceae). It grows in sandstone slopes or deep coastal sands. It flowers in late winter to spring and the colour is normally violet with yellow markings. This spesific plants has pale blue grey flowers. Date of harvest : October 2010. Locality : Piketberg. Sowing : Seeds germinate readily within four to five weeks, and should be sown in late autumn, after cool weather has definitely set in. Sow in a well drained seedling mixture.
