Description
Gladiolus papilio (Iridaceae) It has grassy foliage up to 1m tall and produces sweeping flower stems in springtime. These arch above the foliage, topped by a row of blossoms in grey-green & lavender or slate-lilac. A look inside the hooded funnels reveals a moth-shaped purplish marking against the faded yellow.
