Description
Gunnera perpensa. (Gunneraceae). It is a perennial robust and erect herb that grows up to 1m. It is always growing close or in water. The leaves are large, dark bluish green, kidney-shaped and covered with hairs on both surfaces, especially along the veins in young leaves. The flowers are numerous, small and not very noticeable, tiny pinkish reddish brown, borne on a long slender spike, which is taller than the leaves. Date of harvest : December 2010. Locality : Sentinnel Peak. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer in a very wet medium.
