Description
Haemanthus albiflos BULB (Amaryllidaceae) White Paint Brush (e), Witpoeierkwas (a), uzeneke (z), icishamililo (Sw). Hardy, evergreen, shade-loving bulbous plant with broad leaves and white paintbrush flowers in winter to spring. This plant has attractive foliage and flowers well in shade. The decorative, orange-red berries attract birds to the garden. A good shade plant that also makes a wonderful container plant for shady areas. Plant in well drained, compost-rich soil.
