Description
Haemanthus barkerae (price per 6 seeds)(Amaryllidaceae). It is a bulb that is indigenous to the winter rainfall areas of South Africa. The pink to red flowers appear in autumn after which the leaves will show. The lanceolate blue/green leaves are sometimes hairy on the edge and they have purply markings on the underside of the leaf. Sowing : Sow seeds as fresh as possible. Do not cover the seeds but simply press them down into the seedling mixture. Locality : Nieuwoudtville. Harvest : March 2021
