Description
Haemanthus humilis ssp. humilis Bloemfontein BULB (Amaryllidaceae). Very hardy, deciduous, bulbous plant with broad leaves. Short stems with a stiff brush-like head of pink flowers are produced. Fleshy, oval, white to orange fruit are attractive and sought after by birds. Plant in semi-shade. Looks attractive growing in between rocks. Used in traditional medicine. Size 30 cm.
