Description
Haplocarpha scaposa. (Asteraceae) false gerbera (Eng.); melktou (Afr.); Khutsana (Southern Sotho); Isikhali (Xhosa). It is a fast growing perennial that forms a mat of yellow flowers. The leaves are flat and oval shaped with a white wooly appearance underneath. It bears yellow daisy like flowers on long stalks which dance in the wind. They favour high altitudes but is very adaptable to any other area. Sowing: Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium. Locality: Witrivier. Harvest: January 2023
