Description
Hessea breviflora (price per 5 seeds)(Amaryllidaceae).This beautiful Hessea produces large round umbels of bright pink flowers which appear in early autumn. Plants up to 200 mm high; bulb extended into a stout neck. Leaves 2(3), often emerging at flowering, shiny green, flushed with red basally, surrounded by a prominent brownish red sheath. Flowers star-shaped, pale to deep pink, sometimes scented, stamens slightly shorter to longer than the tepals, spreading, fused into a filament tube. Locality : Annenous. Harvest : April 2022
