Description
Vernonia galpinii (Asteraceae) This herbaceous perennial grows up to 60cm tall, with cushion-like clumps of leafy annual stems growing up from a perennial rootstock. The leaves have a white/gray color and the flowers are purple which contrasts well with the grey. It grows in the summer rainfall areas of South Africa. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer. Locality : Krugersdorp. Date of harvest : June 2013
