Description
Warburgia salutaris (Canellaceae) This is an evergreen, slender tree that grows from 5 to 10 m tall. The dark green, glossy leaves are paler green below with entire margins. The stem is covered by a rich brown bark marked with corky lenticels that is also bitter and peppery. Sowing : Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark to stop it from blowing away. The trays should be kept moist in a warm but shaded position. Locality: St Lucia. Harvest: September 2020
