It is a very spiny shrub or medium sized tree and can form impenetrable thickets. The flowers are elongated and cream and appear in summer. The seedpods have an attractive reddish brown color.

Sowing instructions: The seeds should be soaked in hot water for 12 hours and then directly planted. Seedlings should appear within 2 weeks of sowing.
