Allium cernuum (Aliaceae). Nodding allium. It is a clump-forming bulbous plant with narrow, strap-shaped leaves and erect stems, nodding at the tips and bearing an umbel of bell-shaped pink flowers in summer. It is native to North America. Sowing: Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25°C. Cover with peat or sand. Locality: Ex Hort. Harvest: November 2018
