It is a small perennial succulent and reach a height of about 7.5 cm. It has spatulate leaves that are 2 cm long and occur in distinctive basal rosettes that form dense mats. White filamentous hairs are present along the stems. the plants bloom in late spring. The 5 cm rose-purple flowers open in late afternoon. They are mildly fragrant and quite showy.
Sowing instructions: Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium. Fresh seed germinate in 14-21 days at 21°C.
