Bauhinia natalensis (100 seeds)
Family: Leguminosae
Common names: Natal bauhinia, Dainty Bauhinia, Natalsebeesklou
It is a hardy, semi-deciduous, drought resistant, small to medium sized shrub with small, distinctive leaves that are divided into two lobes. It bears beautiful, abundant, large white flowers with purplish lines leading into the flower like landing lights for the insects.
Sowing instructions: The seeds must first be soaked in hot water, left overnight and planted the next morning in seedling trays. Cover the seeds lightly with river sand and keep moist. Placing a clear glass over the seedling tray can speed up germination.
