Boophane haemanthoides (live bulb)

Boophane haemanthoides BULB (Amaryllidaceae). This Boophane grows in the winter rainfall areas of South Africa. In summer it is hot and dry here. The bulbs grow to very large size and they produce the striking red bracts with pink flowers in late summer. The leaves appear after this in autumn.
