Buddleja auriculata. (Scrophulariaceae) Weeping Sage, Treursalie. Native to South Africa. This shrub or small tree has beautiful glossy foliage: its leaves are deep-green above and silver below. Profuse spikes of tiny, tubular, sweetly-scented cream, orange or pinkish flowers appear in mid-winter to spring on the ends of the ‘weeping’ branches. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium. Locality: Ex Hort. Harvest: January 2023
