Bulbinella elegans. Asphodelaceae. Regal yellow club shaped racemes of flowers add punctuation to the dry garden in Spring. Rarely seen, but easy to grow, Bulbinella elegans survives a wide range of soils & through Summer drought. Some specimens sport whitish flowers with a pink tinge, but most should be a bright yellow. Sowing: Sow seeds in autumn in a well drained medium. Locality: Leliekrans. Harvest: October 2023
