Bulbinella nutans (yellow)

Bulbinella nutans (yellow) (Asphodelaceae) Waterkatstert, Water Catstail. They grow in damp peaty soils and flowers late winter to spring. Plants are to 1 meter tall with yellow or cream flowers in a conical raceme. Sowing : Sow seed in autumn in a very coarse sand with a little added peat-moss. Seed is slow to germinate and initial growth may be slow. Locality: Gannaga. Harvest: December 2023
