Caralluma speciosa (Asclepiadaceae) (price per 10 seeds) This is one of the big clumping Caralluma that can reach one meter in height. It bears at the apex a many-flowered clusters of brownish-black flowers with yellow to orange on the inside. Sowing : It is easily propagated from ripe seeds, sown in a normal nursery tray, using a well-drained seed-sowing compost and silica sand mixture (silica sand improves drainage) kept moist and at a temperature of approximately 22°C. The seeds need some degree of humidity for successful germination. One can generally expect seeds to germinate within 3 to 4 weeks (one month). Locality : Kenia. Harvest: November 2021
