Coccinia sessilifolia. It is a herbaceous, perennial, climbing plant producing stems up to 5 meters long from a deep, fleshy rootstock. The annual stems scramble over the ground, climbing into surrounding vegetation where they attach themselves by means of tendrils. The root develops into a large caudex. Sowing: Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium. Locality: Hoopstad. Harvest: March 2023
