Coilonox concordianum (Albuca concordiana)
Family: Hyacinthaceae
The blue-grey leaves of Albuca concordiana emerge from the ground in a corkscrew- shape, coiling in a rather dramatic way. The leaf shape is strap-like and flat, unlike those of A. cylindrica and A. spiralis that are cylindrical. The leaf surfaces are finely longitudinally channeled and not sticky.
Sowing instructions: Sow seeds in autumn in a well-draining medium. Spread seeds thinly to prevent damping-off. Cover with a thin layer of river sand. Keep moist. Seed will germinate in about 2 weeks after sowing.
Locality: Ex Hort. Harvest: October 2024
