When to Sow:
-
Spring to early summer (when temperatures are consistently warm)
-
Optimal for warm-climate growth and active season start
🌡️ Germination Conditions:
-
Temperature: 22–28°C (72–82°F)
-
Germination time: 2–6 weeks, sometimes longer

Bottom heat or heat mats can improve success
🪴 Seed Preparation (Optional):
-
Soak seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours before sowing
This softens the seed coat and encourages quicker germination
🌿 Sowing Steps:
-
Prepare your soil mix:
-
Use a very well-draining mix—e.g.:
2 parts cactus/succulent mix + 1 part perlite or coarse sand
-
-
Fill small pots or trays with the mix and moisten lightly.
-
Sow seeds 1–1.5 cm (½ inch) deep.
-
Place in a warm, bright location with indirect sunlight or under grow lights.
