Cotyledon orbiculata cylindrical grey leaf edged red (Crassulaceae). This hardy, drought resistant, evergreen, succulent groundcover has finger-like cylindrical leaves that are grey with a red edge. The umbels of apricot to reddish colored flowers grow on long stalks and are borne in mid-summer. Plant in sun or semi-shade. This versatile plant needs well-drained soil and looks great in containers, in pockets in a rock garden or planted in masse. Size 30 cm. Sowing: The best time to sow the seed is in spring, and they should be kept moist, not waterlogged. Once the seedlings have reached 20-40 mm they can be transplanted.
