It is a summer-growing bulb which produces a large pear shaped bulb with a distinctive neck. The leaves are bright green and leathery and tend to arch. The narrow trumpet shaped flowers are pale yellowish-green with reddish-pink margins on the outside, while the inner surface is attractively striped with brownish-maroon. Adult bulb.
