Delosperma ecklonis (price per 25 seeds) It is a mat-forming to sprawling shrublet. The reddish to yellow-green stems are due to long internodes between the opposite or whorled, succulent leaves. The plant has narrowly elliptic leaves, triangular in cross-section, sometimes with only a rounded central thickening of the lower leaf surface and not a sharp keel. The leaf tapers to tip and base and has a glossy green surface. The solitary flowers are small and pinkish purple. Sowing : Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25C. Cover with peat or sand. Locality: Ex Hort. Harvest: January 2020
