Dracophilus proximus (Mesembryanthemaceae) Old name for D. dealbatus. The thickly succulent leaves grow erect in similar three-angled pairs, sometimes tending towards cylindrical shape. Leaf colouring on the finely textured, waxy surfaces is pale grey-green, sometimes pink. Sowing : Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25C. Cover with peat or sand. Locality : Swartwater. Date of harvest : October 2018
