Edmondia sesamoides (100 seeds)
Sparsely white-woolly shrublet up to 35cm. Lower foliage leaves needle-like, their margins rolled upwards, and upper leaves scale-like and pressed against the flower stalks; bears solitary, discoid flowerheads 25-30mm across, with conspicuous glossy, papery, creamy-yellow, white or pink bracts.
Sowing instructions: Mix 50 % sand or silica with 50 % seedling mixture, which allows for good drainage. Mix the seeds with soil before sowing or sow them first and cover with a very fine soil. The container should provide good water drainage and be placed under moderate mist. The seeds will germinate within four weeks.
