Very hardy, deciduous, bulbous plant with a rosette of attractive, broad, strap-like leaves with a pinkish cast. The spikes of sweetly scented, creamy-white or pink flowers with attractive purple ovaries are borne from early to mid summer. It grows best in full sun in either damp or dry spots. An excellent garden plant. Used in traditional medicine. Size 25 to 30cm: Flowering stem up to 50cm.

Sowing instructions: Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium.
