Eucomis pallidiflora ssp. pole-evansii
Family: Hyacinthaceae
It is a spectacular form flowering at an incredible 1.5 – 2 m high. The many fleshy, green leaves grow to around 1.5 m long and are mildly rippled on the edges – there are no prominent markings. The flowers are pale cream with a greenish center and they are held on an extremely sturdy upright stem. The seedpods that follow are a fresh apple-green. This Eucomis is suited to a larger container or a sheltered border , maybe against a sunny wall or hedge.
