Very hardy, deciduous bulb with beautiful leaves that are tinged wine red and have masses of dark spots. It bears a spike of wine red flowers topped with bracts giving it the look of a pineapple in summer. Grows in full sun or semi-shade. Best planted in groups to get the full effect of this wonderful, rare little plant.
Sowing instructions : Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium.
