Fouquieria formosa (price per 1 seed) A small, dry deciduous tree to about 10 m tall, native to central and southern Mexico and Guatemala. Fouquieria formosa looks more like a conventional tree than other species in this genus and exhibits peeling bark and small, red, tubular flower when in its leafless state, that attract hummingbirds. It adapts well to cultivation and is hardy to drought and moderate freezes. Sowing: Sow seeds in summer in a well drained medium. Locality: Ex Hort. Harvest: December 2023
