Gladiolus liliaceus – many flowers (Iridaceae). The flowers are brown to russet or beige and turns mauve in the evenings when it also gets fragrant. They grow naturally in clay slopes. Sowing : Seeds germinate readily within four to five weeks, and should be sown in late autumn, after cool weather has definitely set in. Locality: Stanford. Harvest : January 2021
