Gladiolus permeabilis dark. It grows fro the winter rainfall area in the South of South Africa right up through the summer rainfall areas up to Zimbabwe. It has mauve to dull purple or cream flowers with yellowish makings and is usually intensely fragrant. Sowing : Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25°C. Cover with peat or sand. Locality: Langkloof. Harvest: October 2021
