Haemanthus montanus (live bulb)
Common name: Mountain Bloodlily
Flowering size bulbs. It is found in grassland and seasonal wetlands in the eastern region of South Africa. It grows in small areas of poorly drained shallow soil. It occurs in dense stands with large cream flowers appearing in mid summer, rapidly followed by two upright leaves. In cultivation can be grown in sun to part shade, moist in summer, dry in winter. Easy in pots. The bulbs are flowering size and about 7 – 10cm in diametre.
