Harpochloa falx (Poaceae) Caterpillar grass. It is a densely tufted perennial that grows up to about half a metre in height. The leaves are dark green, coarse, narrow, and often in-rolled. They remain green throughout the year in frost-free conditions. Through summer the one-sided, sickle-shaped ‘flowers’ are produced on stalks about 750 mm long. Sowing : Sow seeds in summer.
