Hura crepitans (price per 2 seeds)(Euphorbiaceae) Large tree, able to grow up to about 40 m tall in its natural habitat. Surface of trunk has dark, conical spines, bark is grey. Monoecious, male red flowers with no petals borne on a spike inflorescence about 5 cm long, female reddish brown flowers are solitary and in leaf axils. The tree is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine and source of materials. Sowing: Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark.
