Impatiens tuberosa(Balsaminaceae) (price per 5 seeds) Sowing: It makes an attractive, woody caudex, which enables the plant to survive the dry season. Its orchid-shaped blossoms are a vivid shade of magenta, and have yellow & red markings inside the white throat. This is a choice collector’s plant that makes a great show plant. Sowing : Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark to stop it from blowing away.
