Ipomoea albivenia. It is a vigorous perennial deciduous climber up to 10 m long, belonging to the morning glory family. The attractive funnel-shaped flowers are large (up to 8 cm wide) and crinkly white with pale pink or yellow in the throat. The flowers are sweetly scented and open during the night, closing by midday. Sowing : Seed should be sown in spring or during summer, in a well-drained seedling mix, and need only be covered lightly with the sowing mix, clean coarse sand or milled bark. The trays should be kept moist in a warm but shaded position. Locality: Pietersbug. Harvest: June 2022
