The plants can reach 60cm. Leaves are linear to sword-shaped. The flowers are pink, mauve or white with darker streaks, appear in springtime and there are between 4-12 per spike.

Sowing instructions: Seed can be sown in autumn in seed trays or pots. It is critical for the survival of the seedlings that the seeds are distributed thinly and good ventilation is maintained to prevent damping-off.
