Plants are 6-25cm high. Leaves 1-2, lanceolate or strap-shaped, often broadest in upper half, plain green or spotted with darker green or purple. Flowers coral to red with purple tips, slightly drooping. it grows in sand or other well drained soil with some water and lots of sun.
Sowing instructions: Seeds are best sown in deep seed trays in the same mixture recommended for mature bulbs, and will germinate within two to three weeks, if fresh. Flowering from seed usually occurs in the third season.
